Dr. Alexandra Greco Returns to Her Alma Mater to Speak to Young Women about a Career in Dentistry

Dr. Alexandra Greco was chosen to speak at one of the “Alumnae Lunch Series” at her alma mater, The Agnes Irwin School. “Dr. Alexandra” spoke to the young women about the allure of a career in dentistry. She attended Agnes Irwin from kindergarten to twelfth grade. She then attended Georgetown University where she earned her B.A. with a French major and pre-dental concentration. She subsequently attended Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine where she earned her D.D.S. degree. She returned home to the Philadelphia area to specialize in orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. Since graduating, she joined her father in private practice in both Ardmore’s Suburban Square and Center City.

She remains a loyal Agnes Irwin alumnus and remains in contact with many of her classmates. Although her dad (Dr. Peter Greco) was always an inspiration and mentor to Dr. Alexandra, it was a conversation with a young female orthodontist that sparked Dr. Alexandra’s motivation to consider a career in dentistry. She can only hope that her presentation to the bright young minds of our future at Irwin’s can catalyze the same interest in them.
